Beautiful British Columbia!!

We were able to leave Fort Nelson this morning and were blessed with some beautiful sights. We also passed the area that had burned the previous day and was still burning in the distance we were in smoke for at least 20 miles. We have seen 3 moose, but have not been able to photo them. We did get some shots of some other wildlife.

Northern Rockies

Mountain Goats: there were several small groups Cathy caught one of the kids out with the folks. All of these animals like to come to the highway and lick up the salt that remains from winter.

Big Horn Sheep: we saw 3-4.

We saw several Buffalo (Bison) along the way

We saw three bears, this one we were able to stop and snap its picture. We asked him to say "Honey" instead of cheese.

There are over 68,000 signs in the "Signpost Forest" at Watson Lake. The sign below is the closest to home we found. I wonder how much that sign cost the city of Albany to replace??
